Who we are

Taj India Voyages (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an inbound tour operator based in Agra, India. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It also covers messages you send us by email, phone or WhatsApp.

Information we collect

When you send an enquiry through our website, we collect the details you choose to give us:

  • Your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number
  • Your nationality or country of residence
  • Your travel details, such as arrival and departure dates, number of travellers, preferred hotels, interests and destinations
  • Anything you write in the message box, such as special requests, dietary preferences, accessibility needs or the ages of children travelling

Please do not include passport numbers or payment card details in an enquiry form. If we need such details to arrange your journey, we will ask for them separately and only when necessary. We do not take payments through this website.

If you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we also keep the messages and contact details you send us. Like most websites, our web host may automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, for security and to keep the site running.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Reply to your enquiry and prepare itineraries and quotations
  • Plan and arrange your journey, including hotels, transport, guides, entry tickets and permits, once you decide to book
  • Keep in touch with you about your enquiry or trip by email, phone or WhatsApp
  • Ask for your feedback or a review after your journey
  • Keep business, accounting and legal records
  • Keep our website secure and working properly

We do not sell your personal information or use it to advertise to you on behalf of third parties.

Consent and legal basis

When you tick the consent box and submit an enquiry form, you agree that we may use your details as described in this policy to respond to you and follow up on your enquiry. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the details below. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we lawfully did before.

We aim to handle personal data in line with applicable laws, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where they apply, the UK and EU GDPR. Under those laws we rely on your consent, on the steps needed to answer your request or arrange a booking, on our legitimate interests in running our business (balanced against your rights), and on legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We share information only where needed to deliver what you ask for:

  • Hotels, drivers, guides, ticketing and permit offices, wildlife parks and other travel suppliers, limited to the details they need, such as names and dates
  • Service providers that help us run the business, such as website hosting, email delivery, and tools for organising enquiries and follow-ups. They may use your information only to provide their service to us
  • Authorities or other parties, where the law requires it

Cookies and third-party services

This website does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Our website software may set essential cookies, for example to keep our administrators signed in.

Some features are provided by other companies, which may receive your IP address and browser details when a page loads:

  • Google Fonts, to display the typefaces used on this site
  • Google Maps, on the Contact page
  • WhatsApp, when you use our chat links. You leave our website at that point, and WhatsApp’s own privacy policy applies

If we add analytics or advertising tools in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

Storage and transfers abroad

Our business is based in India and enquiries are handled here. Some of our service providers may store or process data on servers outside India. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to keep your information protected.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as we need it to respond to you, arrange your journey and keep proper business and legal records. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so unless the law requires us to keep it.

Keeping your information secure

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including password-protected systems and encrypted email connections. No online system is completely secure, so please share sensitive documents only through the secure channel we agree with you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy
  • Ask us to correct or update it
  • Ask us to delete it
  • Withdraw your consent
  • Object to or restrict certain uses of it
  • Receive your data in a portable format, where applicable
  • Complain to a data protection authority in your country

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first.

Children

This website is not aimed at children under 18. If you are planning a family trip, please tell us the ages of the children travelling so that we can plan suitably. We use this information only for the trip.
